My journey over the years
Once disinterested in photography, I considered Fine Art for my GCSEs but chose Engineering due to scheduling. However, I ended up taking an Art & Photography course, initially reluctantly. Surprisingly, I grew to enjoy it, even choosing my first phone based on its camera. Despite my limited technical skills, I explored composition, producing well framed images.
Later on, having studied Fine Art, I delved into the works of various artists and photographers, analyzing and writing essays on their techniques, use of color, and artistic contributions. It was at this point I worked on my technical skills.
Entering university, I initially pursued Fine Art, recognizing photography as a foundational aspect of my artistic journey. However, I eventually chose to leave university, it wasn't for me and some subjects are to be explored on their own and with strong discipline they can be self studied well.
Over the years, I have explored various genres of photography, from product and advertisement to portraiture, landscape, wildlife, and my personal favorites—fine art and cinematic photography. Along the way, I have mastered the art of editing and printing my own photos, deepening my understanding of the medium.
